Ruben and Millie met in the summer of '06 in Holland. Their fathers served an LDS mission together in England 25 years ago. Soon after meeting, Ruben left on an LDS mission to Suriname. Ruben and Millie spent the next two years writing to each other. In the summer of '08, after completing his mission, Ruben came out to Utah where Millie lived, and spent some time getting to know Millie and the Ray family. They decided to get engaged, and were married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on September 13th, 2008. They now live in Holland.
